About the challenge

Cyberbullying is a growing issue that affects individuals, especially vulnerable groups, in both the online and offline worlds. The goal of this hackathon is to create innovative solutions that can effectively combat cyberbullying and ensure a safer digital environment for everyone.

Participants will tackle challenges in four key areas:

1. Software Solutions: Develop tools that can detect when someone is being bullied or identify potential aggressors. Explore methods to notify a trusted person close to the victim.

2. Artificial Intelligence: Harness AI to detect harmful language, misinformation, and manipulation on social media platforms, helping to prevent online harassment.

3. Education: Propose solutions that increase awareness about cyberbullying, both in the digital space and in the real world, particularly for vulnerable groups.

4. Datasets: Identify or create new datasets that can be used to improve protection measures for vulnerable communities.

Get Started

1. Form Your Team: Collaborate with fellow participants, combine your skills, and form a team. You can have diverse roles like developers, designers, and researchers to tackle different aspects of the challenge.

2. Understand the Problem: Familiarize yourself with the core challenges: detecting bullying behaviors, leveraging AI for social media analysis, raising awareness, and utilizing datasets for better protection.

3. Choose a Challenge: Select one or more of the challenges you want to tackle: software solutions, AI applications, educational tools, or new datasets.

4. Access Resources: Check out the tools, APIs, and datasets available to you. Don’t hesitate to ask the organizers for any additional resources you might need.

5. Start Building: Begin brainstorming and developing your solution. Be innovative, test your ideas, and collaborate with others for feedback.
